Product Detail

The redesigned Martin 000-18 acoustic guitar has a vintage-inspired look, just like the updated D-18 from a few years back. It offers features similar to pre-war era guitars. The top is made of beautiful aging toned Sitka spruce, paired with genuine mahogany back and sides. The body has tortoise binding and a polished finish. The 24.9” short scale model has a neck with a modified low oval profile and a Performing Artist taper. The nut width is 1-3/4” and the string spacing is 2-5/32”, making it easy to play. It comes with nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs and a rosewood headplate displaying a large old-style Martin logo. Specifications include a ply hardshell case, 000-14 fret body size, gloss finish on the top and back/side, dovetail neck joint, X-brace pattern, scalloped brace shape, 1 3/4” fingerboard width at the nut, and a high-performance neck taper. PLU is 00018.

Using your Martin 000-18 acoustic guitar is a breeze. Just sit comfortably, hold the guitar against your body, and start strumming or picking the strings. When you want to tune it, use the nickel open - geared tuners with butterbean knobs on the headstock. Make sure to keep the guitar in a dry and stable environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity, as this can damage the wood. If you're not using it, put it back in the ply hardshell case. To clean the guitar, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the body and strings regularly. And once in a while, you can use a guitar - specific polish on the finish to keep it looking great.
