Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was the world's first chorus effect pedal and the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, the innovative sound found its way into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have been in the compact lineup ever since. Even after four decades, musicians worldwide still adore the signature BOSS modulated tone. In 2016, to mark the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analog chorus sounds are reborn in the Waza Craft CE-2W. The CE-2W's Standard mode precisely recreates the classic CE-2 chorus sound and adds a wide new sound field with stereo output, which the mono CE-2 lacked. The CE-1 mode fully reproduces the stereo chorus and vibrato sounds of the legendary CE-1, with adjustable chorus depth not available on the original pedal. To honor the birth of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is made in Japan, just like the original CE-1 and CE-2. This special edition Waza Craft pedal offers the ultimate BOSS tone. The Standard mode perfectly replicates the CE-2 sound, while the CE-1 mode features chorus and vibrato, authentically recreating the two stereo sound modes of the world's first chorus pedal. It includes new sounds not in the original pedals, like CE-2 stereo output and variable depth for CE-1 chorus sounds. The Rate and Depth knobs allow for fine sound adjustment in both modes.
