Product Detail

The Turbo RAT, the most intense pedal in the RAT family, offers a unique distortion palette that no other pedal can match. It's been a key part of the post punk/indie rock scene for the past twenty years. With over twice the maximum output of the original RAT, it has hard-clipping and slightly scooped mid-range frequencies. It has a less compressed signal and a brighter tone, making you stand out in the mix. Designed around the famous RAT distortion, it retains great qualities without sounding harsh. The legendary RAT Filter control lets you roll off high-end frequencies. Struggling to cut through the mix? Lower the Filter to let your instrument's natural brightness shine. The Distortion and Volume controls set the perfect gain while keeping the level consistent with your clean tone. True-bypass switching ensures no sound coloration when the pedal is off.

Using the Pro Co Turbo Rat Distortion Pedal is easy. First, connect your guitar to the input of the pedal and the output to your amplifier. To adjust the distortion, use the Distortion control. Turn it up for more gain and a heavier sound. The Volume control helps you set the overall output level so it matches your clean tone. The RAT Filter control is very useful. If the high frequencies sound too brittle, turn it to the right. If you're having trouble being heard in the mix, turn the Filter down. When you're not using the distortion effect, the true - bypass feature ensures your sound remains pure. As for maintenance, keep the pedal in a dry place. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth if it gets dirty. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this could damage the internal components.
