The Parker English Horn is an outstanding Kontakt library. Performed by Dr. Andrew Parker, an Associate Professor of Oboe at the University of Texas, it offers the beautiful, dark, and mysterious tones of the cor anglais. After the success of our Parker Oboe collaboration, we brought Andrew back to capture these unique sounds. The Workhorse patch is ideal for exciting contexts, played with a confident mezzo - forte dynamic, while the Emotional patch gives a lyrical and delicate performance at mezzo - piano. We've recorded various inhale breaths and 'pre - attack' air/tonguing noises, which add authenticity to the performance. For the Workhorse and Emotional patches, velocities 1 - 50 produce a softer attack, and 51 - 127 trigger a more excited one. The Breaths patch contains inhales from the session. Adding breaths before or between phrases can enhance your mockup. The patches include E Horn Legato - Workhorse, E Horn Legato - Emotional, and E Horn Breaths - Short to Long. Using the Parker English Horn library is easy. First, install it with the Pulse downloader. You can choose different patches according to your needs. For exciting parts, go for the Workhorse patch; for delicate and lyrical sections, use the Emotional patch. The Breaths patch can be added before or between phrases to make your music more realistic. When adjusting velocities, remember that lower velocities (1 - 50) give a softer attack, and higher ones (51 - 127) create a more excited sound.
