Product Detail

The German Log Drum is a 356MB virtual instrument designed for the full - version of Kontakt. Our 8 - note pentatonic Logdrum has each note carefully sampled at 6 velocity levels and then transformed into a chromatic instrument within Kontakt. The Schlagwerk 8 - note Oak Log Drum in Bb major pentatonic was used. Paper Stone recorded it using center, stereo, and room microphones, and played it with timpani felt beaters (soft and hard) and hands. Features include 1188 samples at 24bit 44.1 KHz, 3 microphone positions, quick - switch articulations, an original user interface, and an advanced custom scripting engine. There are also different.nki files for various articulations. Buzz rolls (2 octaves above the clean hit) and various percussive hits (an octave below) are included, offering round - robin and creative options.

To use the German Log Drum virtual instrument, first make sure you have the full version of Kontakt installed. Open Kontakt and load the appropriate.nki file according to your needs, like GLD Full.nki for all articulations. You can switch between articulations quickly for different sounds. When playing, you can choose from the different microphone positions to get the sound you like. As for maintenance, keep your Kontakt software updated to ensure compatibility. Store the instrument files in a safe place to avoid data loss. Don't try to modify the custom scripting engine unless you know what you're doing, as it might affect the instrument's performance. Also, be aware that the buzz rolls are set 2 octaves above the clean hit, and the percussive hits are an octave below. Have fun exploring the creative possibilities this instrument offers!
