The RootBass TANG is an all - new electro - mechanical bass instrument. It's crafted using a multi - sampled analog synthesizer, physical actuators, noise artifacts, and amp/cabinet impulses. Blending new analog textures with mechanical and electronic actuators, it opens up new creative horizons. With rich new sample content, it recreates the classic synthesizer sound, focusing on root + fifth variants. The velocity - sensitive multi - samples from an analog synthesizer can be combined with keys, switches, old circuitry, and more. It captures the essence of vintage synthesizers in a modern style, offering brilliant arpeggiators, intense leads, deep keys, rich basses, and unique crossover instruments. Noise is an essential part of its sound. Two types of radio noise are added to custom noise textures like tape hiss, amplifier hum, and more. Routed through classic tape echo and effects, it creates solid, real, and mechanical - feeling instruments. It has independently selectable key - down and key - up articulations with decay, filter, and other controls. You can control the noise type and volume. It offers poly/mono and legato modes. The tape echo pairs well with classic effects, and there are three output mix types. Tape saturation, compression, and reverb add warmth and space. Its arpeggiator captures the vintage electronica sound, with filtering and noise modeling. The humanization feature adds more variety. It comes with 80 presets, 4210 samples, 22 instruments, 21 articulations, 16 noise textures, and 124 convolution IRs.
Using the RootBass TANG is easy. First, power it on and select your desired preset to get a quick start. If you want to customize, you can independently adjust key - down and key - up articulations. Play around with the decay, filter, tuning, and velocity sensitivity controls to shape your sound. For the noise, you can control its type, volume, and other settings to add that unique character. Switch between poly/mono and legato modes depending on your playing style. When it comes to effects, use the tape echo and other classic effects to color your bass tones.
