Discover the Impact Soundworks Pedal Steel, an incredibly expressive and user-friendly virtual pedal steel guitar crafted by Dimitris Plagiannis. This iconic American instrument can play rich harmonies and sonorous leads at the same time, making it perfect for jazz, country, bluegrass, and more. We recorded a modern 10-string E9 pedal steel through a DI box and re-amped it with Fender and MESA/Boogie tube amps. The amps were captured at the speaker output, so you can use any cabinet IR. It has no visual fretboard, multiple playing modes, and an innovative harmony system. There's also a new Console modular FX rack and mixer with 30 effects modules. With nearly 10,000 24-bit recordings and many features, it's designed for intuitive real-time performance.

Using the Impact Soundworks Pedal Steel is a breeze. You can play in simple polyphonic mode for chords or monophonic mode for leads. But the star is the Harmonized Mono mode. In this mode, use the right - hand for the melody on the blue keys, the left - hand's yellow keys to trigger harmonies, and the red keys to set the tonic note. Just hold a harmony key and play a melody note, and a harmony will be triggered automatically. You can edit the harmonies with the Harmonization editor. The Console mixer and FX rack gives you full control over the instrument's tone. You can choose from 30 effects modules and save/load FX chains between projects. Make sure you have Kontakt Player or Kontakt Full 5.7 or above, 6GB of disk space, and it's recommended to have 4GB of RAM. There's no special maintenance needed for this virtual instrument, just keep your software up - to - date to enjoy all its features.
