Product Detail

The DDMF Enhanced Stereo Field Expander lets you expand the stereo field to your heart's content, without sacrificing low - end punch by over - reducing the center channel. It divides audio into three independent frequency bands, allowing you to tweak width, gain, and pan for each band. Key features include: support for L - R and M - S signals; the ability to flip the phase of left/right channels; a solo option for all bands and channels to help you hear your adjustments; a built - in stereo field analyzer to avoid phase issues; and selectable crossover steepness. It's available in Windows VST/RTAS/AAX and Mac VST/AU/RTAS/AAX formats (32 and 64 bit, Intel, OSX 10.5 and higher).

Using this product is easy. First, choose whether you want to feed it with L - R or M - S signals. Once you've set that up, start adjusting the width, gain, and pan of the three frequency bands to get the sound you like. If you're not sure what an adjustment is doing, use the solo option for each band and channel. This will let you hear exactly how your changes are affecting the audio. The built - in stereo field analyzer will help you avoid phase issues, so keep an eye on it. You can also select the crossover steepness according to your preference. When it comes to maintenance, make sure your operating system is up - to - date, especially if you're using a Mac with OSX 10.5 or higher. Also, keep your VST, RTAS, or AAX software updated. And remember, since it comes in both 32 - bit and 64 - bit versions for Intel systems, choose the right one for your setup.
