Product Detail

Step into the past with warm echoes! The IK Multimedia T-RackS Tape Echo faithfully recreates the famous Echoplex EP3 tape delay. First introduced in 1969, it quickly became the go-to delay effect for musicians and guitarists. Operating on the principle of a traditional analog recorder, it prints the incoming signal on magnetic 1/4' tape via a tape head, and a second head plays it back for a delay effect. You can adjust the delay time by changing the distance between the two heads. This software takes into account all the analog 'imperfections' of class A electronics and magnetic tape, putting them under your control. Enjoy the benefits of software flexibility like BPM - syncable delay times, stereo operation for two independent delay lines, and full automation. Every aspect of electronics and tape behavior is accurately replicated, including tape hiss, wear, wow and flutter, and selectable AC line hum (US or EU voltage). You can use it as a standard analog delay or push it to create wild effects. Its natural delay trails add a 3D perspective to your tracks and blend well in a mix. It's great for vocals, giving warm and lush echoes with BPM - syncable times, and is a must - have for surf guitar, creating that iconic'slap' sound.

Using the IK Multimedia T - RackS Tape Echo is easy. First, connect it to your audio setup. You can adjust the delay time by changing the distance between the two tape heads. To get BPM - syncable delay times, set the appropriate BPM in your software. For vocals, start with the default settings and then fine - tune the delay to get warm and lush echoes. For surf guitar, increase the settings to get that signature'slap' sound. When using it, make sure your audio system is stable and the software is up - to - date. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity as this can affect the performance. To maintain it, regularly check for software updates. If you notice any abnormal sounds or behavior, try restarting your system and the software.
