Product Detail

Prime Studio Funkenschlag captures the iconic tube sound of the 50s, crafted from a German hand - built mixing console. This mono/stereo channel strip plug - in comes with three powerful and combinable tools to enhance your track's sound. First, there's a preamp inspired by a 1950s German tube preamp. It adds harmonic tube distortion and has two filters for high and low frequencies. The auto - trimmed output prevents unwanted gain, just adding harmonic distortion to control compression. Second, a compressor and limiter modeled after a 1960s analog vintage device. With classic controls like Input Level, Ratio, Threshold, and Recovery time, you can achieve anything from subtle compression to heavy signal limiting. Third, a graphic equalizer with selected frequencies for flexible sound design. You can switch the equalizer's position before or after the compressor/limiter. Each section of the channel strip can be individually toggled for better usability and CPU control. System requirements include a dual CPU or better, Windows 7 or higher (64 - bit only), macOS 10.9 - 10.14, 8 GB RAM or more, 500MB disk space, 1024x768 screen resolution or higher, and a VST2/AU/AAX Compatible 64 - bit audio host (Pro Tools 11 or higher for AAX). Note that OS X 10.15 Catalina is not currently supported.

Using Prime Studio Funkenschlag is a breeze. First, make sure your system meets the requirements. If it does, install the plug - in on your compatible audio host. When you're ready to use it, load it onto your mono or stereo track. Start with the preamp section. You can use it to add that classic tube distortion to your sound. Adjust the high and low - frequency filters to get the tone you want. The auto - trimmed output means you don't have to worry about adding too much gain. Next, move on to the compressor and limiter. Play around with the Input Level, Ratio, Threshold, and Recovery time controls. You can start with subtle settings and gradually increase them to get more extreme compression. For the graphic equalizer, it gives you a lot of flexibility. You can switch its position in the signal flow to suit your needs. If you want to save on CPU, you can turn off any section you're not using. As for maintenance, keep your audio host and the plug - in updated. Also, make sure your system stays within the recommended requirements. And remember, OS X 10.15 Catalina is not supported, so don't try to use it on that operating system.
