Product Detail
The Pristine Peaks IE is an enhanced and optimized version of our stereo Pristine Peaks limiter, designed specifically for multi - channel surround and immersive audio. It's an ultra - low distortion peak limiter, perfect for both mixing and mastering when you need transparent peak control. It can handle up to 12 channels of audio, from mono to 7.1.4 channel tracks. Each channel can be level - trimmed by +/-5dB before the limiter, and peaks can be trimmed up to 10dB below the master ceiling. It's not just a limiter; it's a multi - channel editing tool. You can trim levels, mute, or extract individual channels using its Channel Isolate and Drive Trim controls. It uses a unique approach to dynamics control, producing a clean sound without breakup or distortion, even at high gain reduction. Instead of saturating or clipping peaks, it adjusts the whole waveform, resulting in extremely low THD. Features include up to 12 channels of independent gain reduction, less than 0.005% THD (20Hz - 20kHz), no aliasing, a wide range of gain and ceiling controls, two release slope shapes, peak hold meters, and independent channel isolation and bypass buttons.
Using the Pristine Peaks IE is straightforward. First, connect your audio source to the appropriate channels. You can handle up to 12 channels, so make sure to match your audio setup correctly. For each channel, you can adjust the pre - limiter drive trim by +/-5dB. This helps you fine - tune the input level for each channel. The global drive gain can be set from - 10dB to +20dB, which affects all channels. Set the global ceiling range from 0dB to - 20dB, and then you can further trim each channel's ceiling by 0dB to - 10dB. When it comes to output, use the +/-15dB level output control to adjust the final volume. You have a choice of two release slope shapes; experiment to find the one that suits your audio best. The peak hold meters will show you the maximum gain reduction, which is useful for monitoring. You can isolate or bypass individual channels using the dedicated buttons. As for maintenance, keep the software updated to ensure optimal performance. Avoid extreme gain reduction settings for long periods, as this might cause some audio artifacts. If you encounter any issues, check the connection of your audio equipment and restart the software.
