Product Detail

The u-he MFM2 is an extraordinary digital delay plug-in that takes audio processing to a new level. With it, you can craft a wide range of effects, from delicate textured echos to vast spacey reverbs, and from wild tonal changes on a pad to rhythmic deconstruction of drum tracks. As a regular delay, MFM2 offers maximum control and inspiration, and the advanced features in version 2.5 open up even more possibilities. It provides more feedback, more control, and more inspiration! MFM2 can create ping-pong and panning delays, filtered and frequency-shifted delays, chorus, flanger, resonator, reverb, diffusion, ambience, granular effects, degrading and distorting delays, ducked and compressed delays, endless loops, keyboard-controlled comb filters, and massive glitch effects, or any combination of these. Version 2.5 comes with new features such as an input section with gain, filter, and transient balance, granular and diffusor effects, and an output shield. It also has 4 delay lines with independent modes, 4 main filters, a feedback matrix, 2 effects, and 2 compressors. The UI is scalable from 70% to 200%, and there are over 400 factory presets.

Using the u-he MFM2 is easy. First, set up your input signals. You can process them in pairs before sending them to the delay lines. Use the 'Transient' controls to suppress or boost spikes, and the input filters to adjust the frequency range. Next, choose your delay modes for the 4 delay lines. You can have them synchronized, free, or controlled by MIDI notes. Adjust the delay times and use the modulation source selector below each knob to add some variation. Place the resonant filters in the signal path as you like. Use the feedback matrix to specify how the delay lines interact with each other. Adjust the overall feedback amount at the top and the output levels at the bottom. Apply pre - feedback processing effects like limiter, bit crusher, etc. Finally, use the compressors for the final polish. You can choose between peak or RMS mode compression. When using the MFM2, make sure your computer meets the required specifications. Keep the software updated to access the latest features and bug fixes. To maintain the plug - in, regularly check for software updates and keep your audio system clean and in good condition.
