Product Detail

The RC-20 Retro Color is a fantastic creative effect plugin that breathes life and adds texture to any recording. It effortlessly recreates the warm and cozy vibe of vintage recording equipment and works great in modern production too. With 6 unique FX modules, it can replicate various sounds from vinyl records to VHS machines. Add noise, wobble, and dropouts to your tracks. The raw distortion and bit reduction add grit to bass and drums. The space and chorus effects make guitars sound amazing, and the filtering effects fit well in modern club tracks. There's a noise generator to add different types of noise, wobble and flutter for pitch inconsistencies, various distortion types for saturation, a degrader and bitcrusher for vintage digital sounds, a tailored reverb module for depth, and volume drops to reproduce tape wear. The exclusive Flux Engine adds instability and fluctuations to the FX modules. The Magnitude slider controls processing intensity and can be automated for cool song transitions. Included presets for different instruments and mixes let you start working right away, and the interface encourages experimentation.

Using the RC-20 Retro Color is easy. First, install the plugin in your recording software. Then, you can start exploring the 6 unique FX modules. To add noise, go to the noise generator and choose from different noise types like vinyl crackle or tape hiss. For pitch inconsistencies, use the wobble and flutter module. Adjust the saturation and distortion to your liking using the available distortion types. The degrader and bitcrusher can give you that vintage digital sound. The reverb module adds depth to your tracks, and the volume drops can simulate tape wear. The Magnitude slider is very useful to control the intensity of all processing. You can also automate it for cool effects in your song. When using presets, just select the one that suits your instrument or mix, and you can still adjust the processing amount of each module. As for maintenance, keep your software and plugin updated to ensure the best performance. And be careful not to over - process your tracks, as it might lead to an unpleasant sound.
