Product Detail

This SDX expansion for Superior Drummer offers the original recordings that formed the basis of the market's most popular metal drum sounds, the Metal Machine EZX. Unlike the EZX version, the SDX sounds are raw and unprocessed, straight from the studio. It has the same instrument collection but with more mic options and a custom bank of kit presets. The sessions took place at Studio B of Los Angeles' Henson Recording Studios, a landmark in the recording industry where many heavy - hitting acts like Metallica and Soundgarden have created groundbreaking works. Recorded by the legendary Andy Sneap, who has produced and mixed albums for top metal bands, this library includes three full kits, a wide range of cymbals, and seven snare drums, all recorded with top - notch equipment. The room at Studio B with its concrete - lined walls creates a perfect sonic environment for big, reverberant rock and metal drums. It's not just a collection for rock and metal; with Superior Drummer 2's powerful tools, it's a blank canvas of high - quality raw material for you to create something unique. Features include three kits (2 x Tama Starclassic Bubinga, Ludwig Stainless Steel), a large selection of snare drums and cymbals, production by Andy Sneap, recording at Henson Recording Studios, drum sampling by John Tempesta, six custom kit presets by Andy Sneap, and included MIDI played by Nick Barker.

Using this Toontrack SDX expansion is easy. First, install it into your Superior Drummer software. Once installed, you can access the three full kits, various cymbals, and seven snare drums right from the software's interface. You can start with the six custom kit presets designed and mixed by Andy Sneap or create your own combinations. The MIDI files played by Nick Barker are also a great addition; you can use them as inspiration or incorporate them directly into your projects. When using the different mic selections, play around to find the sound that suits your project best. As for maintenance, keep your software and the expansion up - to - date by regularly checking for updates from the Toontrack website. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements to avoid any performance issues. If you run into any problems, reach out to Toontrack's customer support for help.
