Product Detail

The Overloud THU PFL 100 v2 offers an outstanding and one - of - a - kind fluid capture of the Hiwatt 100 DR103 head and its paired cabinet, which David Gilmour used during his Pink Floyd days. This head was used to record the 1977 Animals album and many live shows. With a 1971 production date, 16xx series serial number, purchased from Chris Hewitt and serviced by Pete Cornish, it's paired with a 4x12' Wem Starfinder cabinet with Fane Crescendo speakers. The THU PFL 100 is famous for its excellent cleans and wide dynamic range, making it an ideal effects pedal platform. It has two input channels (Normal and Brilliant) with independent drive knobs, and a Linked input for mixing tones. When the channel volume knobs go past 2 o'clock, it delivers a rich, crunchy tone. The cabinet can handle a large dynamic range while keeping clear sound. Captured with 18 microphones and high - resolution nonlinear IRs, thanks to Overloud's Fluid Convolution, you can place up to four mics in 3D space around the cab and blend with custom IRs. The ReSPiRe option gives you the feeling of standing near the cabinet. Included are the amplifier model, cabinet model, a preset bank of famous song sounds, models created with 2024's Fluid Capturing, and 15 additional models. It can be an expansion pack or a standalone plugin, no pre - existing THU license needed.

Using the Overloud THU PFL 100 v2 is easy. First, if you're using it as an expansion pack, just install it into your existing THU setup. If you got the standalone version, you're all set to start using the built - in editing features like the Rig Player, Amp Tweaks, Tuner, and Looper. For tone adjustment, play around with the two input channels, the Normal and Brilliant. You can control the drive independently on each channel and use the Linked input to mix them up for unique tones. When you want that crunchy sound, turn the channel volume knobs past 2 o'clock. To make use of the cabinet's great features, take advantage of the 18 - microphone capture. You can place up to four microphones in the 3D space around the cab and blend with custom IRs. And don't forget to try the ReSPiRe option for that immersive feeling. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to the latest version to ensure the best performance. Store your presets regularly in case of any technical issues. Avoid using it in extremely hot or cold environments as it might affect the stability of the plugin.
