Product Detail

Bassym - S offers high - quality samples of a four - string Musicman Stingray bass with roundwound strings, played in a slapped style. At the bottom of the interface, you have full control over the instrument's behavior. You can choose the legato mode, define the legato distance, adjust the release volume, turn the cabinet simulation on or off, edit the bass and treble of the parametric EQ, and set the sensitivity for all the dynamics you desire. This product comes with its own free sample player, the UVI Workstation 3 (v3.1.6 or later required), so you don't need to purchase an expensive sampler. The features are amazing! It has 1.52GB uncompressed (703MB compressed in lossless flac format) with around 2152 samples, multiple velocity layers for sustain pop and slap, round robins for pop and slaps, velocities for the release, and various sample types like hammer on, slide, string noises, harmonics, ghost notes, and string hits. Plus, it has advanced UVI scripting for a simple yet powerful interface and comes with MIDI files of the demo songs.

Using Bassym - S is easy. First, make sure you have the UVI Workstation 3 version 3.1.6 or later installed as it comes with this product for free. Once installed, open the interface. At the bottom, you can start customizing how the instrument behaves. For the legato mode, decide if you want hammer ons, slides, or sustains when playing legato. Set the legato distance to define the maximum interval for the legato effect. Adjust the release volume to control the sound when you release a string during a note. You can also turn the cabinet simulation on or off and edit the bass and treble of the EQ to get your desired sound. Set the sensitivity to make sure you can access all the dynamics you want. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to the latest version to ensure smooth performance. If you encounter any issues, check the MIDI files of the demo songs for reference and make sure your system meets the requirements of the UVI Workstation 3.
