String Central offers a stack of 13 amazing layers, sampled across the whole fretboard of outstanding classical instruments. A master cellist delivers the cello's depth and richness in 13 textures like Staccato, Forte, Tremolo, Legato, Pizzicato, along with a few vintage synth strings. Every sound is carefully captured to keep the natural tone of the wood and strings. It comes with 4 plugin types (AU, AAX, VST3, and a standalone app), compatible with major DAWs (not Garageband yet). There are 2,629 samples, onboard mixing faders for all instruments, 5 per - instrument effects, global pitch and pan controls, and more. With over 70 presets and the ability to create your own, you can use these 13 textures solo or blend them for new hybrid tones.
To use String Central, first make sure your DAW is compatible with one of the four plugin types (AU, AAX, VST3, or use the standalone app). Once installed, you can start exploring the 13 different textures of the cello and synth strings. You can use them as solo instruments or mix them in various ways to create unique tones. When adjusting the parameters, take your time to play around with the attack, hold, decay, sustain, and release controls to get the sound you want. Be aware that Garageband doesn't support this product currently. For maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure the best performance. You can save your favorite presets and even create your own to quickly access the sounds you love.
