Product Detail

The VSL Big Bang Orchestra (BBO) is an orchestra library where the whole orchestra plays together ('Tutti'). The first tier of BBO is free and has basic articulations with limited tonal flexibility. BBO: Andromeda offers all the free version's articulations, newly recorded with more sonic and expressive flexibility, plus many new articulations. It provides great tonal flexibility. You can separately adjust the close mic positions of low strings, high strings, woodwinds, horns, trumpets, and low brass in the Synchron Player's mixer. For the fortissimo low brass, choose between an aggressive or a softer tone. You can easily add or remove the high piccolo. The short notes in BBO: Andromeda are shorter and have a precise attack. It also has optimized repetition notes for authentic repeated - note playing. Long notes come with various articulations like espressivo, soft, sfz, and sffz. The sforzatissimo patch shows the amazing power of a large orchestra. The 'Dynamics' category includes two lengths of crescendos, and Vienna's Release Sample Technology ensures correct sound even in short crescendos. Special articulations such as tremolos, flutter tongue, trills, and half - tone glissandos complete the set. All registered users of BBO: Andromeda get a free Con Sordino Expansion Set. It features soft tutti performances from pianississimo to mezzopiano. String and brass ensembles play muted, and the woodwind ensemble has specific instruments to blend well.

Using BBO: Andromeda is easy. First, open it in the Synchron Player. To adjust the overall orchestra sound, use the mixer to separately set the close mic positions of different instrument groups. When you want a different tone for the fortissimo low brass, just choose between the aggressive or softer option. You can add or remove the high piccolo according to your arrangement. For playing short notes, enjoy their precise attack. When quickly playing repeated notes, rely on the optimized repetition notes for an authentic sound. For long notes, pick from various articulations like espressivo or sfz. When using the sforzatissimo patch, you'll hear the full force of the orchestra. The 'Dynamics' category's crescendos give a great build - up, and with Vienna's Release Sample Technology, even short crescendos sound right. As for the free Con Sordino Expansion Set, it's ready for you once you register. Remember, keep your software updated to ensure the best performance. And if you face any issues, check the official VSL support website for help.
