Product Detail

Synchron Mallets III is part of the Synchron Percussion III Collection, featuring a marimba and temple blocks. The marimba, an African - origin instrument, was brought to Mexico in the 16th century and further developed. Its low register has a warm, wooden tone, while the high register is sharp and short like a xylophone, suitable for both accompaniment and solos. The Adams Alpha MAHA50 with a five - octave range in this collection was recorded with hard and soft mallets, offering up to eight dynamic layers and nine round - robins for single strokes. It also includes unique effect articulations such as harmonics, glissandos, etc. Temple blocks, wooden slit drums from East Asia used in Buddhist rituals, have a short, snappy sound, perfect for quick rhythmic phrases. The Kolberg Temple Blocks here were played with hard and soft mallets, with up to six dynamic layers and eight round - robins for single strokes. Both parts of the library have the same articulations. The Standard Library offers close, mid, and main microphone positions. The Full Library adds surround and high - stereo options, enriching stereo output or enabling immersive audio mixing with the Synchron Player's mixer and useful presets.

Using Synchron Mallets III is a breeze. For the marimba, you can use different mallets to create various tones. Hard mallets give a brighter sound, while soft mallets offer a warmer one. When using the effect articulations, experiment with playing at different points on the bars to get unique sounds. For temple blocks, just like the marimba, switch between hard and soft mallets to change the sound. Regarding the microphone positions, if you're using the Standard Library, try different combinations of close, mid, and main positions to find the best sound for your track. With the Full Library, you can explore surround and high - stereo options for a more immersive experience. As for maintenance, keep the mallets clean and dry. Avoid exposing the instrument models in the library to extreme temperature and humidity changes. If you're using the mixer presets, feel free to adjust them to suit your own creative needs.
