Product Detail

A pop powerhouse! This Toontrack EBX expansion for EZbass is tailored to capture the classic 1960s vintage sound. It features a meticulously captured 1960s classic violin - style electric bass. Strung with classic flatwound strings, it was sampled using two playing styles: finger - playing and palm - muted with a pick. This gives you a wide tonal range from thud - like to sharp and zingy. Along with the bass, there are a wealth of presets for various tones and a custom MIDI library inspired by the era. Ideal for all kinds of music, from subtle acoustic to full - on pop and rock. The instrument, the Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass, changed the face of pop music. Its iconic hollow spruce top body has remained largely unchanged since 1956. The sounds and articulations, with the use of flatwound strings, bring out the distinct 60s aura. The presets help you visualize the sound of the time, and the MIDI library provides fundamental material for your music creation.

Using this Toontrack EBX expansion is easy. First, install it in your EZbass software. Once installed, you can start exploring the different playing styles. If you want that classic 60s thud - like sound, use the finger - playing samples. For a grittier, more biting sound, go for the palm - muted samples. When it comes to the presets, just select the one that suits the mood of your song. You can also customize them to your liking. The MIDI library is a great starting point. You can use the onboard features in EZbass to slice, dice, and customize the MIDI files to fit your existing songs or create new ones. As for maintenance, make sure your software is up - to - date to ensure smooth performance. And when working with the MIDI files, keep backups in case something goes wrong. Have fun creating that 60s pop magic!
