Product Detail

The Barbarian Cello is crafted to produce the raw and powerful sound of a cello. Meticulously edited, it ensures truly authentic and lifelike performances. Inspired by classical string - playing styles, it's a pioneer in extended bowing techniques. This cello is highly versatile, adapting seamlessly to different musical genres. ### Features - A unique rebowing engine that minimizes note repetition in long bowing sequences. - Multiple smooth legato transitions for fast and fluid passages. - A wide range of articulations with many round - robins. - Two attack variations for sustained notes. - Natural and captivating sound quality. - Keyswitch, split, and morph modes for enhanced playing flexibility. ### Rebowing Engine The one - of - a - kind rebowing engine reduces note repetition. It uses up to 5 variations per note, eliminating the 'machine gun effect'. Repetitions are taken from phrases for a natural performance. ### Legato Engine This cello has two types of legato transitions. Regular transitions are recorded up to an octave up and down, and fast transitions up to a perfect fourth, enabling smooth fast ornaments and runs. ### Many Options It offers a wide variety of articulations across different dynamic ranges, including legato, harmonics, flautando, and 3 types of swells. Long articulations have soft and hard attacks for more expression. Short articulations are extracted from phrases for better naturalness, with the spiccato having 12 round - robins and 5 dynamic layers. ### User Interface The interface has three modes: 1. Keyswitch mode: Change articulations using the red keys in the high register of the keyboard. 2. Split mode: Divide the keyboard into two parts, like playing legato on the right and sustains on the left. 3. Morph mode: Transform one articulation into another, useful for creating unique combinations. Individual patches are also available to save resources.

Using the David Forner's Premium Barbarian Cello is a breeze. When you start, familiarize yourself with the user interface. You can use the keyswitch mode by simply pressing the red keys in the highest register of the keyboard to change articulations. If you want to play different styles at the same time, try the split mode to divide the keyboard into two parts. The morph mode is great for getting creative - just choose the articulation you want to transform and enjoy the new sound. When it comes to playing, the cello's unique rebowing engine will give you a natural and non - repetitive sound. Make the most of the legato transitions for fast and smooth passages. Experiment with the various articulations to add different flavors to your music. As for maintenance, keep the cello in a dry and clean environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you notice any issues with the sound or performance, check the settings in the interface first. If the problem persists, it might be a good idea to contact the manufacturer's support team.
