It features metal hits and 'found' percussive sounds, sampled and programmed in great detail like high - end acoustic drum kits. It has rolls, taps, clicks, subs, and unique textures. This library fills a gap in commercial sound libraries as it offers extensively sampled and individually playable instruments. There are 6 main patches, 8 special/alternately - mapped patches, and 16 FX patches, with 73 articulations in total. Recorded in a medium - sized insulated booth with some ambience, it's suitable for various ensembles. It's designed for both drum controllers and MIDI keyboards, with intuitive key mappings. It includes useful features like left/right hand mappings, easy FX, and more. Requires 300MB space and Kontakt 4 or newer (full version).
Using Impact Steel is easy. If you're using a MIDI keyboard, just remember hits are on black keys and scrapes, rolls, and tremolos are on white keys. For drum controllers, all main patches are key - mapped for instant playability. When using the 'L/R' patches, separate left and right - hand hits are on adjacent notes to play fast passages. To start, make sure you have 300MB of free space on your device and the full version of Kontakt 4 or newer installed. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure the best performance.
