Product Detail

Discover the Hoard Mandolin, a dynamic and versatile legato mandolin library crafted for Kontakt. Performed by the well - known session player and producer Jason Hoard, this library aims to offer both virtuosic performances and simple heartfelt melodies. The Master Legato Main patch is incredibly useful across various musical styles. The Chicken Peck variant, while having the same core functions, is optimized for fast, repeated picking. Both patches smoothly blend downstroke and upstroke legato - picking techniques. Besides performance sustains, it includes playable repetition patches with split - keyboard options, tremolos, sustained chords, short chords from phrases, and even choked chucks, along with tempo - synced live grooves at 90, 120, 150 & 180 BPM. Key features are its agile and expressive legato, three velocity - activated legato articulations, automatic down/upstroke legato, natural temperament, adjustable reverb of custom hall impulse, 48khz 24bit recording, and 2.4 GB compressed NCW format. Patches include Master Legato Main, Master Legato Chicken Peck, and many others.

Using the Hoard Mandolin library is a breeze. When you start, you can choose from different patches like the Master Legato Main or the Master Legato Chicken Peck based on the kind of sound you want. For the Master Legato Main patch, the velocity you play with matters. For velocities between 41 - 90, you'll get the natural plucked legato articulation. If you play with velocities from 91 - 127, it activates the hammer - on/pull - off articulation. And for velocities 1 - 40, you get the slide into pluck articulation. You can control the slide speed with the mod wheel. The Chicken Peck variant is great for rapid and repeated notes. When using the Performance Sustains or Playable Reps patches, remember that the softest velocity gives you palm mute performances. The Chuck Live Grooves patch has three patterns at four different tempos. Just map them according to your needs. For the Tight Chords, use your right hand for downstrokes and left hand for upstrokes on the keyboard. Push up CC1 to access inverted chords. As for maintenance, make sure your Kontakt software is up - to - date to ensure smooth operation of the library. Also, keep your storage clean to avoid any issues with the 2.4 GB compressed NCW format files.
