The primary velocity range (41 - 90) gives natural plucked legato performances, the high - velocity range (91 - 127) triggers slides without pluck samples (up to a major 2nd), and the lower velocities (1 - 40) activate slides with pluck articulation, whose speed can be controlled by the mod wheel.
