Product Detail

The PSI Snare is a remarkable 1GB multi - sampled snare drum with 5596 samples. It can be played in the full version of Kontakt 4.0 and above. Unlike typical snare recordings, we focused on capturing a vast array of tones and effects from a single high - quality drum, offering users the flexibility and sound - shaping capabilities of a real snare. This snare is versatile for various musical styles. It's a great choice for replacing or enhancing snares in drum mixes when the original recording lacks something. With powerful editing controls and the option to use them in Global or Local mode, you can be very creative in programming. It features 35 different playing styles and tunings with up to 56 velocity layers, recorded in 5 mic positions: Close (Mono), Bottom (Mono), Tube (Mono), Overhead (stereo), and Room (ambient stereo). The 35 hits include 6 tunings, Muted Snares, Open Snares, Hands, Buzzes, Flams, Brushes, Hot Rods, Rim Shots, and Rim Clicks. Recorded in the prestigious Studio 2 live room of Paper Stone Studios in Nottingham, England, using top - notch audiophile signal paths. Studio 2, with its great live room, isolation booth, and amp side rooms, is our main tracking space, and Studio 1 has an excellent hybrid mix/mastering setup that combines the best 'in - the - box' processing with analog outboard eqs and compressors.

To use the PSI Snare, first make sure you have the full version of Kontakt 4.0 or above installed. Once installed, load the snare into the software. You can start exploring different playing styles and tunings right away. Try using it in your drum mixes to replace or enhance existing snare sounds. When programming, use the powerful editing controls. You can choose between Global or Local mode depending on your needs. As for maintenance, keep your software up - to - date to ensure compatibility and access to new features. If you encounter any issues, check the Kontakt software's official support page. Remember to store your samples in a safe place and back them up regularly to avoid data loss.
