Product Detail
Discover the Soundiron Ancient Greek Percussion, an amazing collection of 6 deeply sampled hand percussion instruments. These instruments trace back to the oldest roots of Western musical traditions, likely predating all recorded history. The library features a Crotalum, Kymbalon, Sistrum, 15 - inch Tympanon, 22 - inch Tympanon, and Tympanon Zill, crafted from wood, gut, goat skins, and bronze. They capture the essence of classical Greek musical craftsmanship at its peak and have influenced modern frame drums, riqs, dafs, tambourines, and finger cymbals. Each instrument was hand - crafted by master instrument maker and musical historian Panagiotis Stefos of LyrΑvlos in Athens and played by his team. Producer John Valasis recorded them in great detail, with up to 12 round - robins and 10 dynamic velocities per articulation. The flexible GUI offers independent close and overhead mic positions, a wide range of chromatic and special effect articulations, and 20 sound - designed ambiences. It includes 4,092 24 - bit 48kHz stereo samples and takes up just over 3 GB when installed. The Kontakt interface has automation - ready sound - shaping controls, 20 custom FX presets, an adaptable LFO system, 12 types of filters, a customizable arpeggiator, a key and scale lock system, and a modular FX rack panel with 18 DSP effect modules. The Reverb effect has 99 different room impulses and 40 custom FX impulses. We've also added factory presets to get you started. This library requires Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5 or later and has limited support in the free Kontakt Player.
