The Remo MF-1008-00 Muffle Ring Control features foam donuts for effective partial muffling. Special plastic trays hold them in place and can be easily mounted under the drum head and on top of the bearing edge. Using this muffle ring control is easy. First, locate the plastic trays and place the foam donuts in them. Then, mount the trays under the drum head and on top of the bearing edge. The triple notched system will keep the pads in place without the need for adhesives. When using on a bass drum with low tension, it works just as well. As for maintenance, keep the foam donuts clean and dry. Avoid exposing them to excessive moisture or heat. If the plastic trays get dirty, you can wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Make sure to store the product in a cool, dry place when not in use.
