Product Detail

The Bassym-F captures the rich tones of a five-string fretless Ibanez bass with roundwound strings. At the interface bottom, you can control the instrument's behavior. In legato mode, decide if playing legato triggers hammer-ons, slides, sustains, or has no effect. Set the legato distance for the maximum interval of legato application. Adjust the release volume, which is the sound when releasing a string during a note. Toggle the cabinet simulation on or off, and edit the bass and treble of the parametric EQ. Set the sensitivity for the minimum volume of velocity 1 and access all the dynamics you desire. Since it's a fretless bass, there's a chorus module where you can change the speed and depth. Bassym-F comes with the UVI Workstation 3 sample player (requires v3.1.6 or later) for free, so no need to buy an expensive sampler. It features 698MB uncompressed, 180MB lossless flac compressed, around 827 samples, about 10 velocity layers for sustain, around 13 velocities for release, hammer on samples, an advanced vibrato effect via modulation wheel, slide effects, harmonics, ghost notes, string hits samples, and advanced UVI scripting for a simple yet powerful interface and advanced features.

Using the Bassym-F is easy. First, make sure you have the UVI Workstation 3 version 3.1.6 or later installed as it comes with the product for free. Once it's set up, open the interface. On the bottom, you can start adjusting how the instrument behaves. For the legato mode, play around to see if you want hammer - ons, slides, or sustains when playing legato. Set the legato distance to your preference so you know how far apart notes can be for the legato to work. Adjust the release volume to get the right sound when you let go of a string while a note is playing. You can turn the cabinet simulation on or off depending on the sound you're after, and tweak the bass and treble using the EQ. Set the sensitivity to get the dynamics you want. The chorus module is there to add a nice touch to your fretless bass sound, so change the speed and depth as you like. When it comes to maintenance, keep your software up - to - date. Check for new versions of the UVI Workstation 3 regularly. And make sure your computer meets the requirements to run the product smoothly. If you have any issues, refer to the official documentation or contact the support team.
