Product Detail

Jussi from Klevgrand offers a unique way to emulate male voice vowels. With a set of strong parameters, you can make it sing anything from gentle, airy choir - like vowels to intense, angry shouts. The formants are controlled by playing at different velocities, making it a fun and easy experience on a MIDI keyboard. Features include an ADSR with 'Turn - in' and 'Turn - out' options that affect pitch and map to attack and release, a Voice character XY pad for intensity and narrowness, Legato mode for smooth glides between notes and velocity levels, Legato Hold mode for polyphonic legato when using a sustain controller, a Throat emulation XY pad for grain and tonality, and a built - in reverb. The Character XY pad changes tone intensity, with the 'intense' axis controlling formant Q value and the 'narrow' axis controlling formant gain. The Throat XY pad manages grain - factor and tonality/noise - factor. There are three legato modes: Off (like a regular polysynth), On (normal legato), and Hold (smart polyphonic). The ADSR controls note volume with an option to slide pitch.

Using Klevgrand Jussi is easy. First, connect it to your MIDI keyboard. Then, start playing around with different velocities on the keyboard to control the formants. You can adjust the Voice character XY pad to change the intensity and narrowness of the voice. For the Throat emulation, use the corresponding XY pad to control grain and tonality. To use the Legato modes, switch between Off, On, and Hold as per your needs. The On mode can be further controlled using the XY pad. When using the ADSR with 'Turn - in' and 'Turn - out', remember that these options affect the pitch and map to attack and release. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure smooth performance. Avoid using it on devices with very low system resources as it might cause lag. If you have any issues with the Legato Hold mode, refer to the documentation for more information.
