I crafted this library out of my deep love for the Celtic harp's delicate yet feisty spirit. It can be soft and gentle one moment, bold and strong the next, covering a wide range of tones. We recorded a modern Celtic harp with a warm tone and a built - in pick - up. This enabled us to create a direct input recording, along with two stereo microphone positions. Recorded in a studio, the samples are fairly dry, making it easy for you to blend and layer them with other instruments. The instrument has normal plucked samples at four dynamic levels, offering that classic warm resonant Celtic harp sound. For less resonance, we have a separate set of damped string samples. Michaela damped the strings around the plucked one with her hands, giving a rounder sound that fades faster. You can customize the decay time using the attack and release sliders on the interface. Stopped strings are a unique feature. Some pieces require stopping one or more strings with hands. With Michaela's harp, you can perform this live using the sustain pedal. Releasing keys while the pedal is engaged triggers individual stopped samples. Playing triplets is common in Celtic harp music. Our triplet sample set is activated via a key switch, MIDI CC, or program change. Samples are triggered in a round - robin fashion, allowing full control of performance speed without artificial time - stretching. The library comes with a dedicated preset browser. You can select factory configurations or create your own presets. It has a search bar and a favourites feature for quick access to preferred presets.
Using this Celtic harp library is a breeze. First, open the dedicated preset browser. You can choose from factory configurations right away or take some time to create your own personalized presets. The search bar and favourites feature in the browser will help you quickly find the settings you like. When playing, if you want the normal plucked sound, it's the default articulation. For different dynamic levels, you can adjust as needed. If you want less resonance, switch to the damped string samples. To customize the decay time, use the attack and release sliders on the interface. When it comes to the stopped strings technique, press the sustain pedal and then release keys to trigger the individual stopped samples. For playing triplets, activate the triplet sample set using a key switch, MIDI CC, or program change. The round - robin triggering gives you full control over the speed. As for maintenance, since it's a digital library, just make sure your device is properly maintained. Keep your computer clean, update your software regularly, and back up your presets to avoid any data loss.
