Product Detail

Atomika by Cherry Audio is an amazing emulation of the 1982 - 1990 Polivoks synthesizer from the Formanta Radio Factory. Developed with Mark Barton's award - winning circuit - modeled DSP designs, it goes beyond a simple copy. It offers extended filter options, full polyphony, an arpeggiator, and studio - quality effects. The original Polivoks, created by Vladimir Kuzmin and his wife Olympiada, is famous for its unique filter using programmable op - amps, giving a gritty sound. Atomika enhances this with new controls like Starve, Filter Drive, and Amp Drive, along with new filter modes. It also upgrades from duophonic to 16 - voice polyphony, adds unison oscillator stacking, and expands the LFO. The second panel has a flexible arpeggiator and four studio - quality effects. With over 350 presets and great MIDI mapping, it combines classic character and modern innovation, appealing to synth lovers and professional producers alike. There's also an intro video by Cherry Audio and Tim Shoebridge. Don't miss the separate Chain Reactions Preset Pack with 100 more presets by James Dyson.

Using the Cherry Audio Atomika is easy. First, power it on and use the Main view for basic synthesis controls. You can adjust the oscillators, filters, and envelopes here. To access more advanced features, switch to the Arp/FX panel. For creating unique sounds, play around with the new filter controls like Starve, Filter Drive, and Amp Drive. When using the arpeggiator, set the MIDI tempo sync and choose the direction (Up, Down, Up/Down, or Random). You can select from over 350 presets in the preset browser to get inspiration quickly. Regarding effects, the Phasor, Flange/Chorus, Echo, and Reverb can add depth to your sound. Adjust the FX Modulator to change the effect parameters. For MIDI control, use the pre - preset or global MIDI learn and mapping. When it comes to maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean environment. Make sure to update the software regularly for optimal performance. Also, be careful not to expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity. And always use the recommended power supply to avoid any damage.
