Discover Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra, a groundbreaking orchestra designed for crafting fantasy film, TV, and game soundtracks. Produced by industry legends Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix, it combines unique world instruments from the biggest blockbusters with modern octave - doubled orchestral sections. This orchestra features full stereo imaging mic placement and all the great features of EastWest’s Opus player. When scoring a fantasy epic or medieval tale, bridging the gap between orchestral and world instruments is key. That's why we created this new orchestra to bring all necessary period instruments onto one stage. Hollywood Fantasy Strings is the first installment of the Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra series. It offers 5 iconic instruments from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras, paired with new - style recordings from contemporary orchestral musicians. With true legato and various articulations, it meets the highest professional standards for creating fantasy cues. East West has given it the same power and flexibility as Hollywood Strings, recorded in the same studio with identical microphone placements for seamless mixing. And this is just the start! Later this year, the series will expand to include Brass, Winds, Percussion, Voices, and the Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator scoring engine (partnered with Sonuscore). Soon, you'll have a complete instrument collection for creating cinematic fantasy masterpieces of any scale.

Using Hollywood Fantasy Strings is a breeze. First, open the EastWest Opus player on your computer. You can then select the specific instrument you want from the 5 iconic ones in the collection, like those from the Medieval, Renaissance, or Baroque eras. Adjust the articulation settings according to your creative needs. You can use the true legato for smooth transitions or other articulations for different effects. When mixing, since it's designed to work well with other EastWest libraries, just combine it with your existing string libraries in your audio editing software. As for maintenance, make sure your computer has enough storage space to hold the library. Keep your audio software and the Opus player up - to - date to ensure the best performance. Also, avoid any sudden power outages or system crashes while the library is being accessed to prevent data corruption.
