Product Detail

After two years of meticulous recording, editing, and programming, EastWest/Quantum Leap is proud to present an incredibly detailed virtual instrument of the world - renowned Steinway D grand piano. Recorded in the prestigious EASTWEST STUDIOS, a place with more RIAA certified platinum and gold records than any other studio, using 3 mic positions. This virtual piano offers a unique PLAY interface with impulses from the same hall where Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Choirs were recorded, allowing it to blend seamlessly with those collections. There's also an additional close mics version engineered by the legendary KEN SCOTT, known for his work with Elton John, Supertramp, David Bowie, and the Beatles. The recordings are the most detailed ever, with various mic positions, multiple velocities for different articulations, and features like resonance, software - detected repetitions, and stereo swap. It's recorded in a proper piano environment with top - notch equipment and comes with a powerful streaming engine and an articulation matrix for easy loading.

Using this virtual piano is easy. First, load the instrument into your music production software. You can choose different mic positions individually to get the sound you want. To blend it with Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Choirs collections, just use the PLAY interface. When playing, you'll notice different articulations like sustain, staccato, etc. Try out different velocities for a more dynamic performance. For maintenance, make sure your software is up - to - date to ensure smooth operation. Also, keep your computer's storage clean as the instrument may take up some space. If you encounter any issues, check the software settings and make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements.
