Product Detail

The XILS Lab 505 is an amazing all - in - one device that can serve as paraphonic strings, a synthesizer, and a bass synth simultaneously, just like the original 'Analog Orchestra'. XILS added a Vintage Analog Human Choir Machine as an alternative oscillator source for the synthesizer part and allows access to many hidden parameters of the vintage String Machine model. The X - 505 offers extensive layering and tweaking options, with a perfect balance between string registers and precise input balance for its quadruple BBD Chorus unit. Many hidden parameters are now accessible on its unique panels, expanding the sound palette. It also features a juicy - sounding analog Phaser and vintage Reverb. Key features include: an aliasing - free TOD Oscillator for up to 49 voices of polyphony; a string section with its own filter and settings; a synthesizer section with dedicated ADSR and various sound sources; a human voice section with custom settings; a bass section with three cumulative waveforms; two LFOs for different controls; multiple envelope parameters; a thick - sounding quadruple BBD Chorus/Ensemble unit; analog Phaser, vintage reverb, and true stereo space effects; a modulation matrix with access to secret hardware parameters; a special glide section; and full MIDI CC control in your DAW or live setup.

Using the XILS Lab 505 is easy. First, connect it to your DAW or other audio setup using MIDI CC. You can start by exploring the different sections like the string, synthesizer, bass, and human voice sections. For each section, adjust the available parameters such as waveforms, filters, and envelopes to create your desired sound. Use the LFOs to add movement to your sounds, like vibrato. The modulation matrix allows you to connect different sources and destinations, giving you more creative control. When using the effects like the phaser and reverb, start with small settings and gradually increase until you get the right amount of effect. As for maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If there are any issues, refer to the official documentation or contact the manufacturer. Remember, you can always experiment with different parameter combinations to discover new and unique sounds.
