Product Detail

The Bentside Spinet, originating from the 17th - century Italian word 'spinetta' for quilled instruments, was a popular household keyboard. It took up less space than the harpsichord, had a dark and quiet tone, and was visually appealing. As a precursor of the pianoforte dating back to 1490, it became popular around 1631 and was widely used in Europe for home entertainment and musical instruction by the 18th century. With a shape like a horizontal harp, it produced a rich and sustained yet darker timbre than the harpsichord. It had a five - octave range with ebony - covered natural keys and ivory - topped accidentals, giving it a memorable look. We recorded each key in stereo with close and far mics, 8 round robin, note releases, and key sound effects. To enhance its natural tone, we added 20 ambient soundscapes and 20 custom FX presets. The Kontakt interface offers automation - ready sound - shaping controls. You can adjust swell, attack, release, and more. There are 20 unique custom FX presets, an adaptable LFO system, 12 filters, a customizable arpeggiator, a key and scale lock system, and a modular FX rack panel with 18 DSP effect modules. The reverb effect includes 99 room impulses and 40 custom FX impulses, along with a bank of factory presets. This library is for Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5 or later, and while the free Kontakt Player has limited support, the sample directories are unlocked for other wav - compatible software.

Using the Soundiron Bentside Spinet is a breeze. First, make sure you have the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5 or later installed. You can import the library into the Kontakt Quickload window through the standard File browser tab. Once it's loaded, you can start exploring the sound - shaping controls. Adjust the swell, attack, and release to change how the notes start and end. Use the filters to tweak the tone. The arpeggiator is great for creating interesting patterns, and you can control its direction, timing, and more. When it comes to the FX presets, have fun trying out different combinations to add unique effects to your music. For the reverb, choose from different room, hall, or custom FX impulses to create different sound environments. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure the best performance. Since the sample directories are unlocked, be careful when using them in other software to avoid any compatibility issues. Also, if you're using the Kontakt Player in demo mode, be aware of its limitations. Enjoy making beautiful music with your Bentside Spinet!
