Using the Cherry Audio Octave Cat is a breeze. First, power it on. You can choose from different voice modes like monophonic, duophonic, or polyphonic. Select your presets from over 300 options to quickly get a sound you like. If you want to create your own sound, use the dual panel views. The main view has synthesis controls, and the FX/Seq panel adds extra features. For the oscillators, adjust the waveforms and settings on VCO1 and VCO2. The filter can give your sound a vintage touch. The sequencer lets you create patterns and is syncable with the tempo. When using effects, select from distortion, phaser, flanger/chorus, echo, and reverb. Remember to save your patches. You can use a MIDI controller to control modulation.
