Product Detail

The oboe d'amore, also known as the hautbois d'amour or oboe of love, is a double - reed woodwind instrument like the oboe and English horn. It covers the mezzo soprano register. Recorded in the dry and controlled environment of our Silent Stage, it offers all common articulations. Features: - Oboe d'amore in A - Recorded at Silent Stage - Has short and long notes, legato, dynamics, flutter tongue, and repetitions - Comes with Mixer Presets for authentic placement at Synchron Stage Vienna - Allows you to switch off internal reverb for placement in any virtual acoustic environment The term 'd'amore' dates back to the Renaissance. It has a warm, lyrical, and mellow sound, more like a French horn than an oboe. Slightly larger than the oboe, it has a unique pear - shaped bell. Commonly used in the Baroque era, it was later replaced by the English horn and oboe. The library provides a full set of articulations, including various short and long notes, legato (even fast legatos for trills), crescendos, diminuendos, sfz, sffz, pfp, flutter tongue, and repetitions. Long notes and dynamics are available with and without vibrato. Dry recording at the Silent Stage lets you place samples on your virtual stage and in the stereo field as you wish and integrate them with our Synchron Series using the internal convolution reverb of Synchron Stage Vienna.

Using the Oboe d'Amore is a great way to add a unique sound to your music. When you start, select the articulation you want from the library, whether it's short or long notes, legato, or something else. You can use the Mixer Presets for an authentic placement at the Synchron Stage Vienna. If you want to place the instrument in a different virtual acoustic environment, just switch off the internal reverb. When it comes to maintenance, keep the instrument in a dry place. Since it's a woodwind, moisture can damage it. After each use, gently clean the reeds. Don't forget to regularly check the bell for any signs of damage or wear. When not in use, store it in a proper case to protect it from bumps and scratches. Enjoy making beautiful music with your Oboe d'Amore!
