Product Detail

The Radial Stage Bug SB-5 is a compact, must - have stereo direct box. It's perfect for laptops, tablets, and other consumer audio products when you're amplifying the signal through a PA system. The passive design comes with an integrated 1.5m input cable. It connects from the headphone out via a 3.5mm stereo connector. The cable is secured well and can be easily stored using the sidewinder cleat, which is great for fast - paced work. Inside, custom wound transformers balance the unbalanced stereo signal, allowing long cable runs up to 100 meters without noise. They also isolate the computer from the PA, reducing hum and buzz from ground loops. A ground lift switch further cuts down ground contamination. You have output connector options: use ¼' TRS jacks for full stereo or an XLR out that sums to mono, saving PA channels. There's also a - 15dB input pad to handle high - output sources without distortion. Ideal for AV technicians, media managers, or traveling musicians with a computer. Features include a stereo direct box for laptops, an integral 1.5m cable with sidewinder cleat, noise - eliminating transformer isolation, and easy plug - and - play operation without power requirements.

Using the Radial Stage Bug SB - 5 is a breeze. First, connect the 1.5m cable from the headphone out of your laptop or other audio device to the input. You can choose your output connector depending on your needs. For full stereo, use the ¼' TRS jacks. If you don't need full stereo, use the XLR out to sum to mono. If your audio source has a high output, engage the - 15dB input pad to avoid distortion. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures. When storing, use the sidewinder cleat to neatly wrap the cable. If you notice any ground - related noise, try using the ground lift switch. Remember, this is a passive device, so you don't need to worry about power supply. Just plug it in and start using it!
