Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library captures the amazing sound of a Mesa Boogie 4x12 Recto Standard OS with Celestion V - Type speakers. The Bogie OS 4x12 VTY is a comprehensive capture. Using 12 microphones, with 8 to 16 positions for each and multiple Mic preamps, it offers over 300 IRs. This cabinet, made of Marine Grade Baltic Birch plywood with a slanted front and closed - back, has been used in countless Metal recordings and delivers a huge sound. The Celestion V - Type speaker, known for its tonal flexibility, adds a vintage vibe to your tone. The captures were done with a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements. Microphones like AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, and many others were used. Each microphone was placed in four horizontal positions and two distances, creating eight IRs per mic. Some were also measured off - axis. All measurements were repeated with two different Mic preamps: Neve 1073 and a German preamp. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet. It allows you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, create new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export IRs in .wav format for major hardware and software use.

Using the Overloud SuperCabinet Library - Bogie OS 4x12 VTY is easy. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet installed. Then, load the library into it. You can graphically browse through the IRs to find the tone you like. To create a custom tone, blend multiple IRs together. The Multiband mode is great for crafting new cabinet tones, so play around with it. When you're happy with your tone, you can export it in .wav format to use with other hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software and the library updated to ensure the best performance. If you have any issues with the IRs, try re - importing them. Also, make sure your computer meets the recommended system requirements for smooth operation.
