Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library is a remarkable creation. It captures the sound of a Mesa Boogie 4x12 Road King paired with Mesa Boogie Black Shadow MC90 speakers. The Bogie RK Open 4x12 C90 offers over 300 IRs, thanks to an extensive capture using 12 microphones, with 8 - 16 positions for each and multiple Mic preamps. This cabinet features a slanted front, a hybrid closed/open back structure made of Marine Grade Baltic Birch plywood, making it a versatile choice for guitar tones. The Celestion - made speakers are ideal for open - back cabs, offering great headroom and tonal complexity. The captures were done with a motorized mic stand for consistency. The microphones used include AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, and more. Each microphone was moved to different positions and distances, and some measurements were repeated off - axis. All measurements were done twice with different Mic preamps. This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet, allowing you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom tones, create new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export IRs in .wav format for various modelers and loaders.

Using the Overloud SuperCabinet Library - Bogie RK Open 4x12 C90 is easy. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet software installed. Once it's set up, you can start graphically browsing through the IRs in the library to find the tone that suits your style. To create custom tones, blend multiple IRs together. You can also try the unique Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your crafted tone, export it in .wav format to use with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software updated to ensure compatibility and access to the latest features. Also, store your exported IR files in a safe place so you don't lose them. Be careful when handling any hardware related to the sound - capturing process to avoid damage.
