This is an official Jensen IR library based on the 'Blackbird' P12/100 BB 100W AlNiCo speaker. We've systematically captured a Jensen Blackbird 100W AlNiCo speaker from the Jet Series, installed in two different enclosures, giving you 576 IRs in total. The enclosures are a 1x12' Open Back cabinet and a 2x12' Open Back cabinet. Developed with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, it recreates an authentic playing experience, just like using an original speaker. The Blackbird 12 - 100 is Jensen's flagship speaker. It has the highest 100W power handling for a 12' AlNiCo speaker today and offers high - end, refined tones. Its design focuses on a natural and wide frequency response for open, organic, and detailed sound. It features powerful warm bass, balanced mids, and sparkling highs with a great chime - smoothness balance. Since its launch, it's been one of the best speakers and is popular among amp builders. It excels in applications where details and harmonic spread matter. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet. You can graphically browse the IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export crafted IRs in .wav format for major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. We used 18 types of microphones during capturing, including AKG C12, AKG C414, etc. Each microphone was moved to 4 horizontal positions, two distances, and two angles, creating 16 IRs per mic. The measurements were repeated for each cabinet. All IRs are phase - aligned and can be blended without phase cancellations.
Using the Overloud SuperCabinet Library with the Jensen Blackbird 12 - 100 is a breeze. First, if you're using the TH - U Supercabinet, you can start by graphically browsing through the IRs in the library. Find the tones that suit your style. To create custom guitar tones, blend multiple IRs together. The Multiband mode is great for composing new cabinet tones, so play around with it. When you're happy with your crafted tones, export them in .wav format to use with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for the speaker itself, since it has high - end components, keep it in a dry and clean environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you're not using it for a long time, store it properly. And when using the microphones, handle them gently as they're delicate. Remember, all the IRs are phase - aligned, so you can blend them freely without worrying about phase cancellations.
