The Angel 2x12 V30 is an outstanding Choptones Supercab IR Library. It was created by capturing an Engl E212VHB 2x12 cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. This cabinet features a straight - front, closed - back design and is made of solid Siberian Birch plywood. Despite its compact size, it delivers a powerful low - end. The Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, well - known in the guitar world, handle power and overdrive excellently. By combining an old Celestion 'H' magnet with a new cone and coil, they offer a warm low - end, a rich mid - range, and a detailed top - end. The captures were done using a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements. Multiple microphones were used during the capturing session, including AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, and many others. Each microphone was placed in four horizontal positions and two distances, resulting in eight IRs per mic. Some measurements were repeated with the microphone off - axis at 45 degrees. All measurement sets were repeated twice with two different Mic preamps: a Neve 1073 and a German preamp. This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet, which enables you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export crafted IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders.
Using the Overloud SuperCabinet Library: Angel 2x12 V30 is a breeze. First, make sure your TH - U Supercabinet is set up properly. Then, you can start graphically browsing through the IRs in the library to find the tone that suits you best. To create custom guitar tones, blend multiple IRs together. You can also use the unique Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. When you're satisfied with your crafted IRs, export them in .wav format and use them with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your Supercabinet in a dry and clean environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity.
