Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library captures the sound of a Mesa Boogie 2x12 Horizontal with Eminence The Governor speakers. The Bogie 2x12 GOV offers over 300 IRs, captured systematically with 12 microphones in 8 - 16 positions each, and multiple Mic preamps. This cabinet, a legendary 2x12 Recto Cab, has a straight front, closed - back, and is made of Marine Grade Baltic Birch plywood. The speaker has a focused and rich tone, perfect for rock and blues, and suits both clean and overdriven tones with a British - style attitude and extra top - end sparkle. The captures were done with a motorized mic stand for consistency. Microphones used include AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, Audix i5, and more. Each microphone was moved to different positions and distances, and some measurements were repeated off - axis. All measurements were repeated with two different Mic preamps: a Neve 1073 and a German preamp. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet, which allows you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export your IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders.

Using this Overloud SuperCab Bogie 2x12 GOV Library is easy. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet software installed. Once it's set up, you can start graphically browsing through the large collection of IRs in the library. To create your unique guitar tones, blend multiple IRs together. You can also use the Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your crafted IRs, export them in .wav format and use them with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software up - to - date to ensure the best performance. And don't forget to back up your custom - created IRs regularly to avoid losing your work. Also, make sure your computer meets the software's system requirements for smooth operation.
