Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library features captures of a Fender Concert 2x10 with Fender CTS 10' speakers. It's an extensive capture using 12 microphones, each with 8 - 16 positions and multiple Mic preamps, yielding over 300 IRs. The cabinet has a straight - front, open - back solid wood construction from the early '80s. The vintage 10 - inch speakers offer a chime and a great upper - mid punch. It pairs perfectly with Bassman and all vintage Fender amps. Captures are done with a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet, allowing you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export crafted IRs in .wav format for major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The microphones used include AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, etc. Each microphone is moved to 4 horizontal positions and 2 distances, and for some, measurements are repeated off - axis (45 deg). All measurements are repeated twice with a Neve 1073 and a German preamp.

Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, if you're using the TH - U Supercabinet, you can start by graphically browsing through the IRs in the library. Find the tones that you like and start blending multiple IRs to create your own custom and huge stereo guitar tones. You can also use the unique Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. Once you've crafted your ideal IRs, you can export them in .wav format for use with other major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. When it comes to maintenance, make sure to keep your software updated to ensure compatibility and access to new features. Also, store your exported IR files in a safe and organized location to avoid losing them. As for the captures, since they were made with a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements, there's no need to worry about re - measuring, but handle your audio equipment with care to maintain its quality.
