Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library is a must - have for guitar enthusiasts. It captures the sound of an EVH 2x12 cabinet with Celestion G12 - T75 speakers. This extensive capture uses 12 microphones, each placed in 8 to 16 positions, along with multiple Mic preamps, resulting in over 300 IRs. The straight - front, closed - back cabinet is made of Birch plywood. It's perfect for metal, producing powerful sound with both modern and vintage speakers. The G12 - T75 speaker offers huge low - end, aggressive mid - range, and softened top - end, meeting the needs of high - gain amps. The captures are done with a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements. This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet, allowing you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export your created IRs in .wav format for major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The capturing session used 12 microphones like AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, etc. Each microphone was placed in 4 horizontal positions and 2 distances, creating 8 IRs each. Some measurements were repeated with the microphone off - axis (45 deg), and all measurements were repeated with two different Mic preamps: a Neve 1073 and a German preamp.

Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, if you have the TH - U Supercabinet, you can open it and start graphically browsing through the IRs in the library. Pick the ones you like and start blending multiple IRs to create your own unique stereo guitar tones. You can also try the Multiband mode to compose brand - new cabinet tones. When you're satisfied with your crafted IRs, export them in .wav format and use them with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your digital files safe by backing them up regularly. Avoid exposing your hardware (if applicable) to extreme temperatures and humidity. And when using the software, make sure your system meets the necessary requirements to ensure smooth operation. Also, always use proper cables and connections to avoid any audio glitches.
