Product Detail

TAF SMALLTEX is an outstanding Supercab IR Library crafted by Andy from TheAmpFactory at his Orangetreestudios HQ. It captures the sound of a Custom 2x12 cabinet with Eminence Texas Heat speakers. Andy describes it as a 'Blues driver 101', perfect for blues and country music. It has a brilliant top - end sheen and a natural smooth roll - off in the lower mids, ensuring a true tone. This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet, which lets you graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export your crafted IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The library features Eminence Texas Heat speakers, a Custom 2x12 origin, a Neve 1073 VR mic pre, pre - EQ, and active HPF/LPF. It uses 14 different microphones, each moved to 4 horizontal positions and 2 distances, creating 8 IRs per mic. All IRs are phase - aligned, allowing for seamless blending without phase cancellations.

Using the TAF SmallTex Supercab IR Library is a breeze. First, if you have the TH - U Supercabinet, you can easily access the library and start graphically browsing the IRs. To create unique guitar tones, try blending multiple IRs together. This gives you a chance to craft totally custom and huge stereo guitar tones that fit your music style. You can also use the Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your creation, export it in .wav format and use it with all major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. As for maintenance, make sure to keep your digital library safe from any data loss. You can do this by regularly backing up the files. And remember, since all the IRs are phase - aligned, you can freely blend them without worrying about phase cancellations, but always listen carefully to the final result to ensure it sounds the way you want.
