Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library is crafted by capturing a Mesa Boogie Lonestar 2x12 with Celestion Alnico Ruby speakers. It features an extensive and systematic capture using 11 microphones, with 8 - 16 positions for each microphone and multiple mic preamps, yielding over 300 IRs in total. The cabinet has a straight - front, open - back design and is made of marine - grade Baltic Birch plywood, a perfect fit for Lonestar amps. The 35 - Watt speaker, great for low and mid - powered amps, offers classic Alnico tone with mellow highs and creamy mid - range. The captures are done with a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements. This library is designed for the TH - U Supercabinet, enabling you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export crafted IRs in .wav format for major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The microphones used include AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, etc. Each microphone is moved to different positions and distances, and measurements are repeated with different mic preamps (Neve 1073 and a German preamp).

Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, make sure your TH - U Supercabinet is set up correctly. Then, you can start graphically browsing the IRs in the library to find the tone you like. You can blend multiple IRs together to create your own unique stereo guitar tones or use the Multiband mode to compose new cabinet tones. When you're satisfied with your creation, export the IRs in .wav format for use with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your device and the library files in a stable environment. Avoid sudden power outages during the operation. If you encounter any issues, check if your device meets the requirements for using the library. Also, it's a good idea to regularly back up your crafted IRs in case of data loss.
