Overloud SuperCabinet Library: CHP Bogie MK1 EVM

The Bogie MK1 EVM is an amazing Choptones SuperCabinet IR Library. It was created by capturing a Mesa Boogie Mark I 1x12 cabinet with Mesa Boogie Electrovoice EV12 speakers. This cabinet has a straight - front, open - back design and is made of Marine Grade Baltic Birch plywood. It's the Boogie that started it all and features powerful vintage Electrovoice speakers, usually found in 4x12 cabinets but still delivering pure tone in a 1x12 cab. The library was captured using a motorized mic stand with 12 different microphones (like AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, etc.). Each microphone was placed in 8 to 16 positions, and multiple Mic preamps were used, resulting in over 300 IRs. Every microphone was moved to 4 horizontal positions and two distances, giving 8 IRs each. Some microphones had off - axis (45 deg) measurements, and all measurements were repeated twice with different Mic preamps: a Neve 1073 and a German preamp.

Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, install it on your compatible audio software. When choosing an IR from the library, listen to the different tones created by each microphone and its position. You can experiment with different IRs to get the sound you want for your music.
