Product Detail

The Choptones Supercab IR Library is a remarkable collection. It captures the sound of a Fender Bassman '67 2x12 cabinet with Oxford 12T6 - 1 speakers. The Fend BMB67 2x12 12T76 offers an extensive capture using 12 microphones, with 8 to 16 positions for each and multiple Mic preamps, resulting in over 300 IRs. The cabinet has a straight - front, closed - back, and solid Pine construction, bringing the classic sixties tone. The speakers, common in '70s Fender cabs, deliver great clean tones with excellent headroom and flat response. Capturing was done with a motorized mic stand for consistent measurements. Microphones like AKG C414, Audio Technica 2035, and others were used. Each mic was placed in four horizontal positions and two distances, and for some, off - axis measurements were also taken. All measurements were repeated with two different Mic preamps. This library is made for the TH - U Supercabinet, allowing you to graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, and export crafted IRs in .wav format for major hardware and software use.

Using this Overloud SuperCabinet Library is a breeze. First, load it into your TH - U Supercabinet. You can then start graphically browsing through the IRs to find the tone you like. To create custom tones, blend multiple IRs together. The Multiband mode is great for composing new cabinet tones - just play around with it to get unique sounds. When you're happy with your crafted tone, export it in .wav format and use it with your favorite hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software up - to - date to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. Also, make sure to store your library files in a safe place, preferably with backups. And don't forget to handle your audio equipment gently to avoid any damage that could affect the sound quality.
