Product Detail

Get the official Jensen IR library featuring the 12' P12R, 25W, AlNiCo speaker from the Vintage series. We've systematically captured this speaker in two different cabinets, both in original and remastered versions, giving you a whopping 1152 IRs. These cabinets include a 1x12' Open Back and a 2x12' Open Back. Developed with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, it recreates an authentic playing experience. The P12R, the smallest powered AlNiCo 12' in the range, was a classic for lower - powered combo amps in the tweed era and was common in Fender, Epiphone, and Ampeg amps until the early '60s. It has a bright and colorful sound, warm bass, excellent top - end cut and sparkle, and breaks up easily. Designed for lightweight, floating baffle enclosures, it has the iconic late '50s sound. This library also offers a remastered version of all IRs. Vintage Jensen speakers were for clean tones, but in modern high - gain scenarios, the treble energy might be too much. The remastered option tunes the top - end to be warmer and less prominent, suitable for contemporary applications. The 'Remastered' version doubles the IRs, opening new sonic possibilities. Made for TH - U Supercabinet, it allows you to graphically browse IRs, blend them, create new cabinet tones in Multiband mode, use IRs in software, and export them in .wav for software loaders and major hardware modelers. We used 18 different microphones during the capture. Each was placed in 4 horizontal positions, at two distances and two angles, generating 16 IRs per mic. All measurements were repeated for each cabinet. The IRs are phase - aligned for seamless blending.

How to use: First, open the TH - U Supercabinet software. Then, import the Overloud SuperCabinet Library - Jensen Vintage Alnico P12R. You can graphically browse through the IRs in the library. Use the blending feature to mix different IRs to create your own unique cabinet tones. The Multiband mode is great for crafting new and interesting sounds. If you want to use the IRs in other software, export them in the .wav format. You can also use them with major hardware modelers. Note: When using the remastered version, keep in mind that it has a warmer top - end response. So, if you're used to the original bright tones, there'll be a difference. Try different combinations of IRs and microphone settings to find the sound that suits you best. Maintenance: Keep your software up - to - date to ensure compatibility and the best performance. Also, store your library files in a safe place to avoid data loss.
